Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage seeks to achieve a therapeutic benefit. Although therapeutic massage is often relaxing, the goal of treatment is not relaxation. The goal of Therapeutic is agreed between the massage therapist and the patient. In some cases, massage by a healthcare professional is recommended and may be part of a larger treatment plan. For example, a person receiving physiotherapy for an injury may have regular therapeutic massage to loosen the muscles, improve muscle tone, and increase their flexibility. Therapeutic massage can be used to supplement wound care, cancer care and a variety of other treatments.

Sports Massage

Sports massage treatment is given with an understanding of anatomy and physiology and from the special requirements that the client and their specific sport make to the body. The purpose of sports massage is to help you return to your desired sports activity immediately or an even better level of functioning. Sports massage may include more aggressive techniques that go into the muscle structure.
Sports massage will often utilize a variety of modalities such as remedial massage, trigger point therapy, cross fiber techniques and deep tissue work.

Deep Tissue Massage

As the name suggests, deep tissue massage applies deep pressure to specific problems. It feels a lot like someone is torturing you on purpose by squeezing into your tense muscle, and massage can leave your very sore. Not only is it more pressure on the whole body, but (which would be true torture), it is a very specific, methodical treatment. It is not the kind of massage to ask for if you expect to feel relaxed during the therapy and subsequently you may feel sore for a few days.

Best for: Treating stiff, painful problems such as shoulder and neck.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to relieve the source of pain through a cycle of isolated pressure and release. The results and benefits of trigger point massage release contracted areas in the muscles and thus relieve pain. You may experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can, of course, help deal with the pain and stress of chronic injuries.

Best for: Chronic muscle pain and tension.

Foot Reflexology

Foot massage reflexology is the practice of foot massage. It has been used in many cultures for centuries to improve health and relaxation in the body. Most types of foot massage use elements from a variety of styles, such as Shiatsu and Reflexology, which follow the belief of putting pressure on the more than 7,000 nerves in the foot, which can release energetic blockages in the rest of the body. Foot massage and reflexology can be used as pain relief, to help relieve stress and even to speed up injury recovery. Traditionally, foot massage is performed using the hands, although treatments can sometimes involve the use of sticks or rollers to more effectively stimulate the reflex areas of the foot.
Better circulation: massaging the extremities helps with the blood circulation around the body, it can burn nutrients and oxygen to the muscles. Relieving symptoms of illness: Massage has been shown to reduce pain and minimize symptoms of hypertension, cancer, liver disease and chronic fatigue. If you suffer from a serious illness, always consult your doctor before starting massage therapy.

Myofascial Massage

Myofascial release is a massage technique used to stretch the fascia for the purpose of balancing the body. The fascia is located between the skin and the underlying structure of muscles and bones. Facia is the body's connective tissue that covers and connects the muscles, organs and skeletal structures of our body.

Pregnacy Massage

Pregnancy massage is a combination of relaxation massage and deep tissue. The massage therapist adapts their techniques to address the changes a woman goes through during her pregnancy. For example, the therapist in the early stages will work on relaxing the body and loosening the muscles in connection with stress and any trembling injuries the mother may have, so it is not a problem in the later stages of pregnancy.

In the second trimester, the therapist will change the technique and not only work on the upper body, but focus more on the lower body region, hips and legs. As the pregnancy progresses to the third trimester, the treatment will accommodate more fluid movements, to move any problematic fluid areas. There is a focus on the lower body region to loosen tight muscles in preparation for childbirth. The therapist can also work with arms, hands and feet in case of swelling. Pregnancy Massage is just as important for the mother as it is for the baby. Please talk about your needs with our massage therapists. They will be happy to tailor a massage solution for you that is effective as well as to meet your individual and changing needs during this amazing time in your life.
Pregnancy massage can help: Stress and anxiety about pregnancy, sore back and hips, headaches associated with pregnancy, pregnancy-related RSI Pubic symphysis, restless legs, insomnia and fatigue.

Relaxation Massage Therapy

This is the most common form of massage therapy and what many people think of when they hear the word "massage" or try to give someone else or themselves a good massage.

Best for: An introduction to massage, stress relief, relaxation, release of tight or tense muscles, couples massage

Aroma Therapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is an alternative therapeutic technique that combines the natural therapeutic properties of the essential oils and the healing power of massage therapy. Aromatherapy massage not only has strong physical, emotional and mental effects, but it is also described as a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The benefits of aromatherapy massage affect a wide range of health conditions in the nervous, circulatory, lymphatic, immune and muscular systems. Aromatherapy massage is a pleasant method for mental clarity, relaxation, stress and relief of headaches. Best for: Relaxing, balance and harmonizing the body. * Reduction of stress. Strengthening the whole body and supporting the body in its own healing process. Encourages a healthy immune system to fight infection.

Herbal Ball Massage

The healing practice of Thai herbal medicine goes back almost 5,000 years to an era in which the knowledge of plants, including their effects on ingestion or application to the body, was carefully studied and then passed down from one generation to the next.
This herbal therapy was designed to relieve pain and inflammation. A variety of therapeutic herbs, including prai, ginger, turmeric and lemongrass, are wrapped in a muslin compress, steamed and then applied to the body in gentle pressure, circular and rolling motions.

In Thailand, herbal ball is called close pra kob, translated as "herbal baler". To compress, a combination of healing herbs is combined together according to old recipes, steamed and placed directly on the skin to relieve muscle pain and swelling.

Hot Stone Massage

During hot stone massage, your body is not only weighted with hot, smooth stones, but the masseur also uses the stones to massage your body. It's like being touched by the smoothest (rollerball-like) hands, but also burned by them for a "Yeeooowwww! .... ahhhh" effect. A hot stone massage is mostly relaxing, but it is also more refreshing than a massive massage, thanks to the almost too much heat that brings you back to focusing on the moment instead of letting you slip off. The heat helps to release the tension in the back and shoulders, for the most part, so that these muscles can work more efficiently.
Best for: self "Centering", release of very tense muscles, relaxation
